General Guideline about pains, allergy and stress

Although acupuncture is not a "cure-all" treatment, it is very effective in treating several diseases and conditions. Acupuncture is most effective at treating chronic pain, such as headaches; menstrual cramps; and low back, neck, or muscle pain. It can also be used to treat arthritis, facial pain, pain from shingles, and spastic colon and colitis conditions. Acupuncture has also been successful in treating obesity and addictions such as nicotine or drugs. Acupuncture also can improve the functioning of the immune system (the body's defense system against diseases).

Acupuncture helps to bring the body into balance in general, This is done by taking a complete intake and doing a complete assessment of every client who comes for treatment. Acupuncturists treat very specifically and individually, making sure the underlying cause of pain or stress or allergy (and any other symptoms) are cleared. When the body is in balance, symptoms disappear and health is restored. This is the main benefit of acupuncture: bringing a person into balance so that the body may heal itself of any ailment physically, mentally or emotionally.

Neck/shoulder/Back Pain

Back pain is usually caused because muscles that are not frequently exercised and stretched are suddenly put to excessive use. Muscle spasms are common in such cases and result in the individual feeling sore, stiff and a dull ache in the back. Patients suffering from sciatica may even feel a tingling sensation or numbness. This is usually due to the narrowing of the disc space or a disc protrusion in the lumbar region.

Acupuncture is used to improve blood circulation to the entire lumbar region and spinal cord. It relaxes paraspinal muscles and provides relief to muscle spasms. The increased blood flow provides greater nourishment to the discs and increases the elasticity and strengthens the spinal cord. Thus, acupuncture can be extremely effective in reducing back pain symptoms.

Lower Back Pain

According to Acupuncture theory, Kidney is in charge of bone and many lower back pains are caused by kidney deficiency. Using acupuncture to strengthen your kidney function can cure your problem from the root which can last long time and you will also benefit from this because kidney is the congenital origin of yourself and the stronger it is the more healthy you will be.

Knee and arthritis pain

Knee pain is a fairly common complaint among both children and adults. Acupuncture is effective in relieving certain types of knee pain, especially arthritic conditions of the knee and knee joint. A
cupuncture decrease pain and stiffness levels and increase muscle strength and flexion in the joints. Our clients found that our 5 needle knee treatment or body reflex point treatment are very effective to treat knee pain and other joint pain including arthritis.

Headache
For chronic headaches the best treatment may be one of the oldest: Acupuncture. A systematic review of studies through 2007 concludes that acupuncture provides greater relief than medication. http://www.anesthesia-analgesia.org/content/107/6/2038.abstract

Research based on Five element philosophy has revealed Hepato toxicity and sometimes Nephro toxicity to be the underlying cause. So once we identify the cause, just a few needles needed to treat headache, as quick as just a few minutes, some patient will notice the reduction of pain level. Some chronic patients who had unbearable attacks over a period of more than 20 years, have been cured with a few Acupuncture sessions. Usually some symptoms are relieved after the first treatment, while more severe or chronic ailments often require multiple treatments.

Sinus and Allergy

Symptoms of running nose, sneezing, and watery itchy eyes that recur during specific parts of the year (especially Spring and Fall) are a cause of much suffering of a large segment of the U.S. population. Western medicine views seasonal allergies as a form of immediate hypersensitivity reaction which occurs when anti-bodies produced by lymphocytes interact with airborne particles such as pollen. Actually I found it gratifying to treat seasonal allergies with acupuncture. There is often a quick response. Often patients get some relief during the first visit while lying on the exam table with their acupuncture needles in place.

Acupuncture is a great way both to treat symptoms of seasonal allergies, and to bring the body into balance so one need not suffer seasonal allergies in the future.
Acupuncture helps the sufferer of allergies in two main ways:
  1. Alleviates symptoms such as itchy eyes, stuffiness, headaches and fatigue. Acupuncture is excellent at treating symptoms of allergies
  2. Most importantly, acupuncture helps to bring the body into balance.
While allergies can put a damper on enjoying the best the season holds, there is natural relief for allergy sufferers. And the relief need not be temporary. In fact, when the body is brought to a higher level of health, we enjoy renewed energy, flexibility and joy of living.
